Wulong Tai Chi Kung Fu is pleased to announce our first workshop for 2024.

Qigong Workshop – 12 Step Health Preservation Qigong

Also called the Daoyin Yangsheng Gong Shi Er Fa, this qigong is a complete set of meridian exercises combining mental concentration, breath control and body movement for life vitality. Long-term practice can enhance cardio-pulmonary function, body shape, flexibility, balance, coordination, as well as improving self-regulating capacity of the nervous system.

The 12 Step Health Preservation Qigong is designed to work on three levels. First, it can be used for health maintenance, to improve vitality and prevent disease by keeping the immune system strong. Second, it can be used directly as a treatment for chronic disease or certain acute conditions. Thirdly, it can be used as a recuperative therapy for those in a recovery phase – the movements are unique in that they can be practised either standing or sitting.

Join Professor Lily Sun to learn:

  • An introduction to the 12 Step Health Preservation Qigong - Daoyin Yangsheng Gong Shi Er Fa. Created by the Chinese Health Qigong Association to promote physical health, mental relaxation, and spiritual well-being.

  • Foundation skills and techniques based on the traditional images from ancient silk paintings excavated in Changsha, China.

  • Simple, beautiful movements based on traditional Chinese medicine principles to improve the function of organs, and preserve health and prevent illness.

The workshop is suitable for all ages and skill levels from beginner to advanced.

Places are limited and registration is essential. Please register via our event page for a unique opportunity to learn this versatile and beneficial qigong while enjoying Professor Lily’s warm, generous and exceptional teaching skills.

Beautiful Qigong Mawangdui Daoyin Shu

Health Qigong Mawangdui Daoyin Shu Workshop

Congratulations to everyone who joined the Mawangdui Daoyin Shu Workshop on 4 July 2021. Another rare learning opportunity presented by Wulong, it was a beautiful and joyful session with Professor Lily Sun. We moved slowly, softly and gently, rotating and stretching, strengthening the body and nourishing the heart.

Professor Lily was very impressed by students’ dedication to learning the movements and with the excellent results that were achieved by the end of the workshop.

“I was very impressed with students' easy grasp of the Mawangdui Daoyin Shu today. I encourage students to continue practicing Mawangdui to improve mood and emotional state and enhance physical function and mobility.”

We hope everyone enjoyed the training and continues to enjoy practicing Mawangdui.

Here’s a small collection of photos from the day.

Congratulations to the attendees of Our Ba Fa Wu Bu Workshop

BaFaWuBu-Step-Shove-Lily-Sun.jpg

Wulong Congratulates the passionate and ambitious Tai Chi students who came on October 27 to learn Ba Fa Wu Bu. The first time the new international standard has been presented in Australia.

Professor Lily Sun led us through the Yang, Chen and Sun style techniques of Ba Fa Wu Bu. Professor Sun’s expert tuition of the “Eight Techniques and Five Steps" means we can practice and develop the standardised routine in sync with the worldwide Tai chi movement. But most of all everyone had fun.

Here is what one of our attendees had to say about the workshop

Ba Fa Wu Bu is simple, beautiful and powerful! It is now my favourite routine. Thanks Prof Lily for teaching us and making the workshop fun.

Did you enjoy the Da Wu Qigong dance?

Students Learning Da Wu Qigong

Thank you to everyone who joined us in the Da Wu - the dance - Workshop on June 2nd. Possibly the first time Da Wu has been presented in Australia. It was an outstanding session with Professor Lily Sun, and we appreciate everyone’s hard work.

Complicated but not difficult, the benefits of the dance for joints, muscles and balance were easy to detect. However the dance not only helps the muscles but also the internal organs to promote the circulation of qi and blood.

We hope everyone enjoyed the dance and continues to enjoy their practice.

Here’s a small collection of photos from the day.
