Taichi is effective to reduce belly fat middle-aged & older adults, UCLA, August 2021

A 2021 study shows that taichi is equally beneficial as conventional exercise for reducing waist circumference in middle-aged and older adults with central obesity.

A randomised control study with 543 participants was conducted by investigators at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), University of Hong Kong, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong and published in the Annals of Internal Medicine.
